p53 Allan Read. Australian Raised Roses. Although not for exhibition roses, a breeder whose roses always appealed to me was Frank Riethmuller.... ‘Honeyflow’ and ‘Spring Song’ were discarded due to their semi-climbing habit and the space they occupied.

p60 Richard Walsh. NSW. I still enjoy the Riethmuller shrubs Honeyflow and Springsong. I had been growing the latter on its own roots from a cutting given to me by a friend for years before I even knew it was Australian raised. I subsequently lost it after moving house, but received another plant, also on its own roots, from another friend and enquiries confirmed that this one had been passed around and I was able to trace it back to the original one I had.
