Origin:
Bred by Mrs. H.C. Fitzhardinge (1881-1956) (Australia, 1939).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1939 as 'Sirius'.

Climber, Hybrid Tea, Cl..  
Bloom:
Red.  Deep cherry red, lighter centre. Open habit.  Strong fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Climbing.  

Height: 15' (455cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
From Eric Timewell: HMS Sirius was the flagship of the First Fleet sent to colonise New South Wales in 1787.
