Origin:
Bred by Wilhelm Kordes III (1953 - 2016) (Germany, 1992).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Wholesale) in 1993 as 'Ekstase'.
Class:
Florists Rose, Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Dark red, light yellow undertones.  Strong, damask fragrance.  40 petals.  Medium to large, double (17-25 petals), high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns.  Matte, dark green foliage.  

Width: up to 4' (up to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
