Bred by François Lacharme (France, 1883).
Introduced in Australia by C. F. Newman and Sons - Adelaide in 1894 as 'Alphonse Soupert'.

Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Pink.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
