... the rust in spring is just overwhelming... like many white roses, the flowers are often spoiled by brown streaks and edges -- telltale evidence of a thrips infestation... flat-topped, buff white flowers... In cool weather, 'Swan' produces buff yellow flowers that soon fade to pure white... canes are smooth with scattered light green prickles... a tall, robust-growing shrub that can be kept to 4 or 5 feet tall with hard pruning...
