Bred by Veuve, Widow. Ledéchaux (France, 1884).
Introduced in Australia by C. F. Newman and Sons - Adelaide in 1894 as 'Comtesse Cahen d'Anvers'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Lilac - pink.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Most probably dedicated to Louise de Morpurgo (April 1, 1845 Trieste - June 21, 1926 Paris), who married Count Louis Raphaël Cahen d'Anvers (May 24, 1837 Anvers, Belgium - December 20, 1922 Paris), French banker. Her daughter Irène was painted by Renoir around 1880. Several paintings of Louise de Morpurgo, Comtesse Cahen d'Anvers also exist.
