Bred by Moreau-Robert (France, 1864).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1873 as 'Prince Eugène de Beauharnais'.
Class:
China / Bengale, Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Red, purple shading.  Strong fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:

Height: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
