Introduced in Germany by Victor Teschendorff in 1969 as 'Schwarzer Samt'.

Dark red.  Mild fragrance.  Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Height: up to 6'7" (up to 200cm).
