I had this rose at my old house and loved it. I wish I could find it for my current house.

There is a California nursery that lists ‘Amber Waves’. Look under. BUY FROM.

The Bronze Medal award in Australia in 1999 for<b> 'Amber Waves'</b> (possibly from Modern Roses) is one of the the following two coded roses from the Australian Rose Annual 2000, page 30, both winning Bronze Medals, but I have no evidence of which one was 'Amber Waves'.
97-11-95 C/F <b>91-16366</b> Bear Creek, USA.
97-11-101 C/F <b>91-16651</b> Bear Creek, USA.
The correct one [?] will need to be merged with 'Amber Waves'.
The other coded rose may be 'Honey Bouquet' and if so, will also need to be merged.

I don't understand what you mean by the "correct one will need to be merged". Do you mean there are four roses? Two roses of the same parentage for 'Amber Waves' and two roses with the same parentage for 'Honey Bouquet ? Or are you suggesting that we merge 'Amber Waves' with 'Honey Bouquet' ? If it is the latter, then I don't think they should be merged. They have different patent numbers and different parentages, so I think they are certainly not the same rose.
'Amber Waves' = Patent # 11839, [(Sunflare x Impatient) x Amber Queen]
'Honey Bouquet' = Patent # 11882 [(Friesensohne x seedling) x Amber Queen]

Modern Roses carries the notation under 'Amber Waves': Bronze Medal, Australian National Rose Trials, 1999
In the Australian Rose Annual 2000 p30 which listed the 1999 awards, there are only two bronze medal roses that I have not been able to identify. They are coded:
91-16366 Bear Creek, USA. 97-11-95 C/F (which may mean Flori, planted in 1997 in bed 95)
91-16651 Bear Creek, USA. 97-11-101 C/F (which may mean Flori, planted in 1997 in bed 101)
Therefore one of the above, (ie 91-16366 or 91-16651) must be 'Amber Waves', but I am not sure which one.
I am hoping someone may have a listing of the Bear Creek codes, which will then allow a merge of the two files.

Bear Creek .. (Jackson & Perkins) was sold several years ago. Since that sale, J & P was sold and purchased again. The company is now in bankruptsy proceedings. I doubt if you will be able to get the information from J & P.

Oh. A shame.
But thanks anyway. We will just have to stay with the excess file until further info comes to light. Hopefully the National Rose Trial Grounds in Australia will one day publish their records for this 1999 year.
