Origin:
Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, 1919).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1921 as 'Capitaine Georges Dessirier'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Dark red, crimson shading, red shading.  Strong fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
