Origin:
Bred by Hippolyte Delforge (Belgium, 1966).
Introduced in Australia by Roy H. Rumsey Pty. Ltd. in 1974 as 'Espéranza'.

Floribunda, Polyantha.  
Bloom:
Red.  Bright, brilliant red. Orange-red..  Large, single to semi-double, in large clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  Glossy, bronze-green, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Flowers drop off cleanly.  rain tolerant.
