L. Lemesle Adams. Wichuraiana Ramblers. Paul Ploton. (July 13th [first blooming date] ). A dark Minnehaha, the rosettes rather larger and flatter. The tone of colour is rather dull, but the pyramidal sprays are large and make a good effect at the end of the laterals which stand out from the main growth. A good pillar Rose.

Minnehaha and Hiawatha as (July 24th [first blooming date] )

Wichuraiana Ramblers. By Dr. A. H. Williams, Vice-President N.R.S.
The wichuraiana Ramblers fall naturally into two well defined groups:
II. The Late, composed of those whose main flowering season lies in the month of July. They mostly have a strain of multiflora in their parentage. The trusses are usually very large, consisting often of an immense number of small flowers, which may be either singles or double rosettes.
Late Flowering Double Varieties.
Paul Ploton.—A new variety from Barbier. It is a vigorous, rampant grower, with fine dark green glossy foliage, which is practically evergreen and untouched by mildew. It blooms in trusses of small double rosettes of glowing carmine colour.

ROSIERS NOUVEAUX 1910 M.M. Barbier et C, pepinieristes à Orléans, continuent leur série de nouveautés dans les hybrides de Wichuraiana. Cette année, ils annoncent les deux sortes suivantes : ...Paul Ploton. — Plante sarmenteuse, vigoureuse. Feuillage vert brillant. Floraison en bouquets de 10 à 12 fleurs doubles de couleur amarante vif à l'intérieur, passant au cramoisi à l'épanouissement : extérieur des pétales rose lilacé. Coloris faisant beaucoup d'effet. Floraison tardive et très abondante. Issue de Wichuraiana x Madame Levavasseur.
