Lovely Hy.Rugosa. I Bought it as a bagged rose and it grew very vigorously after planting and was one of the very 1st roses to bloom. Pretty clusters of unique carnation like flowers on a healthy bush. Very fast repeat with over 25 buds in some clusters. Quite a show. Even in its first year I was impressed by how quickly it became established. No disease problems at all thus far...and the bugs seem to avoid it. Only thing lacking in this rose is fragrance...but still a winner! Very hardy, shade and drought tolerant & recommended.

What other roses have this type of leaves also?

F.J. Grootendorst is one of the Rugosa group and most of the Rugosas have the same wrinkled type leaves. However only Pink Grootendorst will have the same carnation type flowers.
