Bred by Antoine A. Jacques (France, 1827).
Class:
Hybrid Sempervirens, Rambler.  
Bloom:
Light pink, ages to white .  Strong, musk fragrance.  up to 40 petals.  Average diameter 1.5".  Medium, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters, button-eye, cupped-to-flat, globular, rosette bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Climbing, compact.  Small, medium green foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  
Height of 15' to 20' (455 to 610 cm).  Width of 10' to 12' (305 to 365 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 10b.  Can be used for cut flower, garden, hanging basket or pillar.  Hardy.  very vigorous.  shade tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew.  Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood..  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Resist the urge to prune this rose too heavily -- it doesn't like it!.
