Bred by Hermann Zabel (Germany, circa 1880).

Purple.  Small, semi-double (9-16 petals), borne mostly solitary, in large clusters bloom form.  Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.  
Habit:
Upright.  5 to 7 leaflets.
