ARS:
Deep pink Hybrid Perpetual.
Bloom:
Blush to white, ages to rose-pink . Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped-to-flat bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer. Prune after flowering is finished.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
25 December 800, Pope Leo III crowned Charlemagne Roman Emperor. And so began the Holy Roman Empire. The Bourbon 'Charlemagne' by Dorisy is confused from the 1880s in literature and gardens with the later HP by Oger. This Bourbon is probably extinct.
[Pépinières Loubert's 2002 Catalog provided breeder (Dubreuil) and date (1888) - incorrect.]
