Origin:
Bred by Gerrit De Ruiter (Netherlands, before 1955).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Gandy's Roses Ltd. in 1955 as 'Captain Kilby'.
Class:
Floribunda.  
Bloom:
Red.  Moderate fragrance.  Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), in large clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Glossy foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
