Wichuraiana Ramblers. By Dr. A. H. Williams, Vice-President N.R.S.
The wichuraiana Ramblers fall naturally into two well defined groups:
II. The Late, composed of those whose main flowering season lies in the month of July. They mostly have a strain of multiflora in their parentage. The trusses are usually very large, consisting often of an immense number of small flowers, which may be either singles or double rosettes.
Late Flowering Double Varieties.
Carissima.—A rampant grower with glossy foliage. Flowers a little earlier than Dorothy Perkins, in large pyramidal trusses of beautiful small rosettes of delicate flesh tint. The petals are often quilled or twisted.

The Wichuraiana Hybrids.
The following list includes most of the best Wichuraiana Roses to date (1910):
Carissima. -- Delicate flesh pink, with quilled petals. The flowers are small and double, borne in large trusses. Flowers from mid-July.

Carissima (R. multiflora Wichuraiana). Wichuraiana seedling; flowers are a fine flesh-pink color, not fading, foliage glossy green; floriferous; flowers very full, petals are whorled, overlapping; fragrant; hardy and vigorous.
