Origin:
Bred by Benjamin R. Cant (1827-1900) (United Kingdom, 1918).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1921 as 'Golden Ophelia'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Golden-yellow, lighter outer petals, ages to light yellow .  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Upright.  Glossy foliage.  

Height: 3' (90cm).  Width: 2' (60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower.  Vigorous.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
