Dr. Homi Bhabha (Pal, 1968). HT. The beautiful exquisitely-shaped buds are white but sometimes have the faintest shading of cream or amber in the depths. The open flower is white, very large, with petals of good texture. There are enough petals to make it attractive even in the fully open stage. The flowers stand low night temperatures in winter better than most other white cultivars. Named in honour of the great Indian atomic scientist who lost his life in an air crash on Mont Blanc in 1966.
