Origin:
Bred by Rudolf Geschwind (1829-1910) (Austria-Hungary (former), before 1894).
Class:
Bourbon, Hybrid Canina.  
Bloom:
Pink.  None / no fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing.  

Height: up to 13'1" (up to 400cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 2b through 8b.  Very hardy.  vigorous.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
The unknown seed parent is an unidentified Tea rose.
According to Erich Unmuth, it is questionable whether 'Griseldis' in gardens and in commerce is the original Geschwind rose - see References.
