Cerise, violet shading. Moderate fragrance. Average diameter 2". Medium, full (26-40 petals), flat bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

[From The Old Rose Advisor, by Brent Dickerson, p. 1958:] Named for Jean Sisley, who died 12 January 1891, at Montplaisir-Lyon, at the age of 87. Born at Flessingue, Holland, in 1804, Jean Sisley later became a naturalized Frenchman; he was the nephew of the famous painter Jean Van Duel. Mons Sisley was one of the creators of the Lyon Horticultural Circle, of which he was General Secretary, and which has since become the Lyon Horticultural Association... [Sisley developed at Lyon the first double white zonule pelargonium... sometimes called Sisley-Vandael or Sisley-Van Duel, who introduced among other varieties' Desprez à Fleur Jaune'...
