Origin:
Bred by Keith Steadman (United Kingdom, circa 1960).
Class:
Hybrid Soulieana, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Cream to white, golden-yellow stamens.  Cream blooms develop from butter-yellow buds.  Medium, single (4-8 petals), in large clusters bloom form.  Prolific, once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Tall, arching, armed with thorns / prickles.  

Height: 8' (245cm).  Width: 5' (150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for landscape or specimen.  Vigorous.  produces decorative hips.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Remove unproductive wood every third year or so.

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Named for Wickwar, England, where this seedling was raised. Has the distinct greyish foliage and light grey-green canes of Rosa soulieana.
The Peter Beales Collection of Classic Roses 2000-2001 says this rose is a Soulieana Hybrid. Quest-Ritson reports the possible pollen parent is R. brunonii. See References.
