Bred by Joseph Sauvageot (France, 1933).
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1933 as 'Splendor'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1935 as 'Splendor'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Orange-red, orange veining, orange shading, salmon-pink reverse, ages to deep pink .  Moderate, spice fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped, semi-globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, compact, dense, upright, well-branched.  Large, glossy, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
