Medium red Hybrid Tea.
Origin:
Bred by Joseph Sauvageot (France, 1922).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1923 as 'Souvenir du Capitaine Fernand Japy'.
Class:
Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Deep pink, fuchsia / magenta shading, silver(y) reverse.  Mild fragrance.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  Large, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
The family of Japy were industrialists in Beaucort (Belfort) since 1777. Fernand Arthur Edouard Japy (April 25, 1872 Beaucourt - August 13, 1914), was mortally wounded at Montreux-Vieux, Alsace where he served as Captain of the Reserve.
