Origin:
Bred by Jacques-Julien Margottin père (France, 1853).
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red, carmine-pink shading, purple shading.  Moderate, opinions vary fragrance.  90 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped, globular, scalloped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.  Dense foliage.  
Height of 4' to 6' (120 to 185 cm).  Width of 3' (90 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Very vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew.
