Bred by Jean-Pierre Vibert (France, 1818).

Alba.

Light pink, lighter edges.  Bright light pink.  Mild fragrance.  Medium, semi-double to double bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Height of 47" to 5' (120 to 150 cm).  Width of 4' (120 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 3b through 9b.

Notes:
'Armide' in commerce is most probably not the original (colour). Member Nastarana states it is identical to 'Mme Plantier'.
Lloyd Brace of The Roseraie at Bayfields says this rose has very double slightly blushed white blooms... it may repeat in late summer due to a China influence in its breeding, which may also affect its hardiness...
