Origin:
Bred by Frédéric Damaizin (France, 1859).
Introduced in Australia by Thomas Lang in 1865 as 'Vainqueur de Solférino'.

Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Dark red, red shading.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Said to be similar to 'Cardinal Patrizzi' and 'Mrs. Standish'. - see References.
