Origin:
Bred by George Mander (Canada).
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Mauve or purple blend.  Strong fragrance.  28 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 5.5".  Large, exhibition, high-centered bloom form.  Moderate, continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.  
Habit:

Height: 30" to 3' (75 to 90cm).  Width: 20" to 2' (50 to 60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower.  Very hardy.  requires full sun for best color.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Needs little care; relatively disease-free and quite hardy.  Prune lightly until this rose gets established (about two years), then prune it back by about a third..  
Breeder's notes:
This new HT will be available by fall 2005 from Hortico in Ontario E. Canada, and it has a strong fragrance.

Parents are two minis : June Laver X Rubies 'n' Pearls. Note : Both parents have a HT for pollen parent !!!

After 33 years of hybridizing this is the only fragrant rose which does "NOT" get mildew, even without spraying for 6 weeks.
Usually "Fragrance & Mildew" come together !!! Had very few fragrant roses over the years, but all were very mildew prone and I had to discard them. More info with the photos.
