Bred by Joseph Schwartz (France, 1883).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1897 as 'Colonel Félix Breton'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Dark red, violet outer petals.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, scalloped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Light green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
