Notes:
Mildew susceptibility has not been proved (I didn't see any signs of it on my plants) and might be tested only because this class is well known to be prone to mildew.
Flowers have a strong Hamamelis fragrance. Because of that I have dedicated it to Hemelrijk's Garden, near Antwerp (Belgium), which was the property of Jelena de Belder, a great dendrologist and Hamamelis breeder. The hips are small and elongated and nice in the fall. Extremely vigorous and dense plant with shiny leaves, which can make a deep ground cover.
