'Léda' rose Reviews & Comments

The one thing all hmf comments agree on is the size: medium bush. At Holker Hall in Cumbria, however, it is grown as a climber. There, it is grown on what I think is a south or south-west facing wall.

Leda is a wonderful Damask rose that I have grown since 2003 and I love it. Very winter hardy in my zone 5 garden with no winter dieback. Covers itself in fragrant blooms in early summer and is very healthy. This is one of the roses that I never spray with fungicides. I prune it back hard after blooming but as you can see from my full bush picture in the photo tab, it's still a nice size shrub. About 3-4' tall and 6' wide, being wider than tall in my garden.
