Bred by Rudolf Geschwind (1829-1910) (Austria-Hungary (former), before 1884).
Introduced in Germany by Peter Lambert in 1909 as 'Walküre'.

Bloom:
Light pink and white, pink undertones.  None / no fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, flat, quartered bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing.  

Height: up to 9'10" (up to 300cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Hardy.  very vigorous.
