Origin:
Bred by Ludwig Weigand (Germany, 1928).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1930 as 'Frau E. Weigand'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Golden-yellow, pink edges, orange-red outer petals.  Strong fragrance.  70 petals.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, globular, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright, well-branched.  Large, dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Hardy.
