Bred by Jean Laffay (France, before 1824).
Class:
Damask.  
Bloom:
Pink, lilac shading, blush outer petals.  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 2".  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Well-branched.  Small foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).

Notes:
The classification as a moss rose by Simon & Cochet in 1899 is incorrect. The attribution to Prevost is incorrect. Prevost doesn't list this rose as one of his own cultivars.
