Origin:
Bred by Jean-Pierre Vibert (France, 1847).
Introduced in Australia by F. C. Davis in 1862 as 'Bernard Palissy'.
Class:
Hybrid Bourbon, Hybrid China.  
Bloom:
Deep pink, purple stripes, dark red stripes.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
