368. "Kombacy Marianne" / 'Mme. de Watteville'. Dec 31,2020. My 1st plant, on multiflora rootstock which suits this area. Planted in 2005, now in some shade, but doing quite well. This second blooming in dry summer conditions makes me stop and take in the utter beauty of the blooms.

"Kombacy Marianne". South Australia, zone 9b, end of autumn. In an overgrown garden. This plant, about 12 years old, and the parent plant which is likely to be very old, are in slightly alkaline sand. My own plant, about 10 years old, is in slightly acid clay-loam. All three show the same gauntness of the major branches.
