Bred by Eugène Verdier fils aîne (France, 1866).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1873 as 'Mademoiselle Annie Wood'.

Bloom:
Red, light pink stripes. [Rose-red.]  Strong fragrance.  Large, very full (41+ petals), in small clusters, scalloped bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.
