Medium red Bourbon, Hybrid Tea.
Found Rose, Bourbon, China / Bengale, Hybrid Tea.
Crimson and purple. [Red.]. [Carmine-red.] Mild to strong, spice fragrance. Average diameter 4". Medium to large, semi-double to double, cluster-flowered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Thornless (or almost), upright.
Height of 4' to 4' 11" (120 to 150 cm).
USDA zone 5b through 10b. Can be used for cut flower, garden or hedge. Heat tolerant.
Mike Lowe gives this rose a date of 1900 and classes it as a China...
Ida Sharp at Rose Hill Garden describes "Maggie" as having: three to four inch super fragrant crimson blooms on a vigorous... it may possibly be the Bourbon 'Eugene E. Marlitt'...
