Bred by Robert Neil Rippetoe (United States, 2006).

Hybrid Banksia.  

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  

This cross combines lineages which include R. californica, R. Banksia and R. Laxa. It's hard to know what to expect.

I'm hoping for good disease resistance and hardiness with novel foliage and flower form.

A percentage of seedlings died while young apparently due to some inherent genetic incompatibility.

First germination 11-7-06

This seedling sported from single to a semi-double shortly after it first flowered. I will try to preserve both forms of this seedling.
