Origin:

Bred by Rudolf Geschwind (1829-1910) (Austria-Hungary (former), before 1888).
Introduced in Luxembourg by Ketten Frères/Bros./Gebrüder in 1888 as 'Esmeralda'.

Class:

China / Bengale, Hybrid Tea, Tea.

Bloom:

Blush. Moderate fragrance. Large, full (26-40 petals), cupped-to-flat bloom form. Large buds.

Habit:

Height: up to 39" (up to 100cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
