Origin:
Discovered by Walter Schowalter (Canada, circa 1966).
Class:
Unknown, Found Rose.
Growing:
USDA zone 2b and warmer.  Very hardy.
Breeder's notes:
A wild selection I planted this spring is one from my son's garden at Halkirk. Whoever planted it from the wild tried to drape it over an arch trellis instead of planting a root at each base. Even so, I estiimate it was 15 feet tall. The small, cupped, deep rose blossoms are not extremely attractive but it may have potential. - Walter Schowalter 2003
