Bred by Samuel Davidson McGredy III (Ireland, before 1929).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1930 as 'Mrs. Sam McGredy'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Copper - orange, apricot shading.  Reverse flecked red.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  Reddish-purple foliage.  
Height of up to 3' (up to 90 cm).  Width of up to 2' (up to 60 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Hardy.
