Origin:
Bred by Reimer Kordes (1922-1997) (Germany, before 1983).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 1985 as 'Morgenrot'.

Hybrid Spinosissima, Shrub.  
Bloom:
Red blend.  Mild fragrance.  5 petals.  Medium, single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form.  Prolific, spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.  
Habit:
Medium, bushy.  Small, matte, dark green foliage.  

Height: 31" (80cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for garden.  Produces decorative hips.
