Bred by Monsieur (Dr.) Cartier (France, 1821).
Introduced in France by Jean Laffay in circa 1825 as 'Bengale jaune'.
Introduced in France by Louis Noisette in before 1825 as 'Bengale jaune'.
Introduced in France by Jean-Pierre Vibert in before 1827 as 'Bengale jaune'.
Introduced in Australia by Giles and Son in 1881 as 'Jaunâtre'.

Bloom:
Light yellow, ages to white .  Mild fragrance.  25 to 40 petals.  Average diameter 4.75".  Large, semi-double to double bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
