Origin:
Bred by Antoine Levet (père) (France, 1874).
Introduced in Australia by Law, Somner Pty. Ltd. in 1886 as 'Perle des Jardins'.

Tea.  
Bloom:
Light yellow to yellow, orange center.  Straw yellow to canary yellow.  Strong, tea fragrance.  Large, borne mostly solitary, globular, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  

Height: 3' to 42" (90 to 105cm).  Width: 2' (60cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 7b through 10b.  Blooms tend to ball in wet weather.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
