Bloom:
Yellow, pink undertones. Flowers pale chrome-yellow, tinted pink. Moderate, fruity, green apple fragrance. 50 to 60 petals. Average diameter 3.75". Large, double (17-25 petals), cupped, quartered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Pointed, ovoid buds.
Habit:
Medium, upright. Dark green, leathery foliage. Height of 4' (120 cm). Width of 3' to 4' (90 to 120 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 10b. Can be used for cut flower or garden. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.
Notes:
Heirloom Old Garden Roses says Prairie Star has cupped, yellow tinted pink flowers that appear in clusters of 1 to 15. Sam Kedem says this rose is certain to win trophies.
