Origin:
Bred by Paul Barden (United States, 2006).
Class:
Hybrid Clinophylla.
Bloom:
Medium pink, paler reverse, with a white eye.  None to mild, apple, cinnamon fragrance.  5 to 8 petals.  Average diameter 1".  Small, single (4-8 petals), cluster-flowered bloom form.  Moderate, once-blooming spring or summer.  Small buds.
Habit:
Climbing.  Small, glossy, medium green foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.
Growing:
Very vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: very mildew resistant.
Breeder's notes:
Breeding stock only. It appears to form seeds, fertility and germinability to be determined.

90-06-02 is a first generation R. clinophylla seedling and has not yet grown to its mature size, and so I cannot comment on its eventual size at this time. It has not been exposed to outdoor growing conditions either and so disease resistance is to be determined. This seedling may eventually show some repeat bloom when mature and will be used in further breeding work in the hopes that superior disease resistance may be developed.

The seed parent is a selfing of Ralph Moore's 0-47-19, the climbing breeder from R. wichurana and 'Floradora'. This seed parent is fully remontant, blooming in flushes. It is a bright magenta/lavender shrub about 2.5 feet tall and similarly wide, with bright glossy foliage that is highly Blackspot resistant and fully Mildew resistant in a no-spray garden.
