Introduced in United Kingdom by Dickson Nurseries Ltd. / Dickson Roses in 1979 as 'Red Blanket'.

Shrub.  
Bloom:
Carmine-red to deep pink.  Mild fragrance.  Small, semi-double (9-16 petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  Glossy, bronze-green foliage.  

Height: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).  Width: up to 20" (up to 50cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for ground cover.

Notes:
Nigel Pratt of Tasman Bay Roses says this rose has sprays of wine red flowers...
