The main description describes this rose as mildly scented- I would describe it as quite strongly scented, 7/8 out of 10, and of the most delicious fragrance that fills the nose; a sweet, thick and old fashioned scent mixed with the best qualities of a China. Right up there with the best for scent - but that might be just my experience with this rose!

Can anyone tell me please if this rose sets hips, and if so, what the resulting seedlings are like?

Edit - October 2017: I have two hips, one O.P. and one from a hand-pollinated cross. Large and beautiful. Orange-golden yellow colouring. Contained around 10-12 seeds, 8 of which were fertile. See picture that I upload in the photos section. I shall have to see what the seedlings are like, assuming some germinate.
